Chris Welch launched Badger Box in Wilmington in 2018 after years of helping small business owners at Live Oak Bank, and opened the Fayetteville location in 2022. Today Badger Box serves families, contractors and businesses across southeastern North Carolina.

A 16′ container holds roughly 1,000 sq ft of household items (about 2–3 rooms), and a 20′ holds roughly 1,200 sq ft (about 3–4 rooms). Capacity varies with what you’re storing, so give us a call if you’re unsure.
Plan for about 9 feet of width, 9 feet of height clearance, and about 12 feet of extra length beyond the container. That’s roughly 28 feet for a 16′ and 32 feet for a 20′. Driveways, grass and gravel all work.
Yes. Keep it on your property as long as you need it, or have us bring it back to our fenced, lit and camera-monitored facility.
We don’t use a rollback truck. Your container is set down gently on rubber pads and rolled into place, which minimizes wear on your driveway.
