Portable Storage Units in Apex, NC
Apex is a fast-growing Wake County town southwest of Raleigh, known for its historic downtown and family-friendly neighborhoods. Badger Box delivers portable storage containers to Apex homes for renovations, moves, new construction and storage between closings.
Planned Communities and HOAs
Many Apex neighborhoods have HOA or property owners’ association rules about temporary storage containers, and some have gated entrances. Check your community’s rules and let us know about gate access when you book, and we’ll handle the rest. Because our truck stays in the street and your container is set down gently and rolled into place, we can work with tidy driveways and landscaped lots.
How Badger Box Works in Apex
Choose a 16′ container (roughly 1,000 sq ft of household items, about 2–3 rooms) or a 20′ container (roughly 1,200 sq ft, about 3–4 rooms), and we’ll deliver it from our Fayetteville location. Next-day delivery is typically available. Call us at 910-599-7396 or book online. Load it at your own pace, then keep it on-site or have us store it at our fenced, lit and camera-monitored facility. Once you book, your rate is locked in for the life of your rental. Want the full rundown on sizes and placement? Read our mobile storage container guide.

Apex, NC Portable Storage FAQs
Do you deliver portable storage containers in Apex, NC?
Yes. Apex is served from our Fayetteville location at 3703 Gillespie St. We deliver 16′ and 20′ containers to homes, businesses and job sites throughout Apex and Wake County.
How soon can you deliver a storage container in Apex?
Next-day delivery is typically available. Deliveries, pickups and moves are usually scheduled within 24–48 hours of booking.
What size storage container do I need?
A 16′ container holds roughly 1,000 sq ft of household items (about 2–3 rooms), and a 20′ container holds roughly 1,200 sq ft (about 3–4 rooms). Capacity varies with what you’re storing. Both are roughly 8′ wide and 8′ tall with outward-swinging doors. Not sure which fits your move? Give us a call and we’ll help you choose.
How much space do I need for delivery in Apex?
Plan for about 9 feet of width, 9 feet of height clearance (watch for low branches and wires), and about 12 feet of extra length beyond the container so our equipment can be removed. That’s roughly 28 feet for a 16′ container and 32 feet for a 20′. We can place containers on driveways, grass or gravel.
Will delivery damage my driveway or lawn?
We don’t use a rollback truck. Our truck stays in the street, and your container is set down gently on rubber pads and rolled into place, which minimizes wear on your driveway and lets us fit into tighter spots. If you place a container on grass for an extended period, it can kill the grass underneath, so a driveway or gravel pad is usually best.
Do I need HOA approval for a storage container in Apex?
If your neighborhood has an HOA or property owners’ association, check its rules on temporary storage containers before your delivery date. Most customers place the container on their own driveway.
Can I keep the container at my home, or do you store it?
Either. Keep it on your property while you pack, renovate or declutter, or we’ll bring it back to our Fayetteville facility, which is fenced, lit and monitored by cameras. Every container is built for coastal North Carolina weather, with an anti-condensation coated roof, full weather stripping and gaskets, and vents that help prevent humidity buildup.
How much does a portable storage container cost in Apex?
Your price depends on the container size, how long you need it, and your address. All of our current pricing is available up front in our online booking app. We don’t use teaser rates: your rate stays the same for the life of your rental, with no hidden fees.
What if my moving dates change?
Plans change, and we’re flexible about rescheduling delivery and pickup. When you call, you’ll reach our office team right away, not a national call center.

What Are Customers Saying?
Professional, courteous, accommodating and communicative. We were finally able to move ahead with Florence repairs and needed to store the excess ahead of construction. I had my Badger box delivered within 48 hours to suit my schedule and updates throughout the whole process. (I’ve moved across country using the original box storage guys, so had an idea what to expect,) but was super pleased with my overall experience here and the fantastic value for money. I instantly referred them to friends who were moving and they were equally impressed! Support local and support these guys, you won’t be disappointed:)
