Portable Storage Containers in Shallotte, NC
Shallotte is the shopping and service hub of southwestern Brunswick County, sitting on US 17 along the Shallotte River and just minutes from Ocean Isle Beach, Holden Beach and Sunset Beach. Brunswick County is one of the fastest-growing counties in North Carolina, and Shallotte sees all of it: new neighborhoods going up, families relocating to the coast, retirees downsizing, and a steady stream of beach-house and storm-repair renovations. Badger Box Mobile Storage delivers portable storage containers throughout Shallotte from our Wilmington location.
How Shallotte homeowners and contractors use a Badger Box
- Moving and relocating: load at your own pace, keep the container on your property, or have us move it loaded to your new address. Handy when closing dates don’t line up.
- Renovations and storm repairs: clear out rooms for new floors, kitchens or water-damage restoration and keep everything secure in the driveway until the work is done.
- Job-site storage: builders and trades working the new construction around Shallotte use our containers to keep tools and materials secure on site.
- Beach-house turnovers: store furniture between owners or during an off-season refresh at a rental property.
Two container sizes
- 16′ container (about 8′ x 8′ x 16′): roughly 2–3 rooms, or about 1,000 sq ft of household items.
- 20′ container (about 8′ x 8′ x 20′): roughly 3–4 rooms, or about 1,200 sq ft of household items.
Every container has outward-swinging doors, an anti-condensation coated roof, full weather stripping and gaskets, and vents to limit humidity buildup, which matters this close to the coast.
Delivery in Shallotte
We don’t use a rollback truck. Our truck stays in the street and the container is set down gently and rolled into place, so it fits tighter spots and is easier on your driveway. Plan for about 9′ of width, 9′ of height clearance, and the length of the container plus about 12′. Driveways, grass and gravel all work (grass under the container may die back). Next-day delivery is typically available, rentals run on flexible 30-day terms, and you can keep the container on your property or have us store it at our fenced, lit and camera-monitored facility.
Pricing and booking
Current pricing for your address is always shown in our online booking app. Once you book, your rate is locked in for the life of your rental, with no teaser rates and no hidden fees. Most customers book by phone. Call 910-599-7396 and our office team will help you choose a size and schedule delivery.

Shallotte, NC Portable Storage FAQs
Do you deliver portable storage containers in Shallotte, NC?
Yes. Shallotte is served from our Wilmington location at 4900 US-421. We deliver 16′ and 20′ containers to homes, businesses and job sites throughout Shallotte and Brunswick County.
How soon can you deliver a storage container in Shallotte?
Next-day delivery is typically available. Deliveries, pickups and moves are usually scheduled within 24–48 hours of booking.
What size storage container do I need?
A 16′ container typically holds about 2–3 rooms of furniture, and a 20′ container holds about 3–4 rooms. Both are roughly 8′ wide and 8′ tall with outward-swinging doors. Not sure which fits your move? Give us a call and we’ll help you choose.
How much space do I need for delivery in Shallotte?
Plan for about 9 feet of width, 9 feet of height clearance (watch for low branches and wires), and about 12 feet of extra length beyond the container so our equipment can be removed. That’s roughly 28 feet for a 16′ container and 32 feet for a 20′. We can place containers on driveways, grass or gravel.
Will delivery damage my driveway or lawn?
We don’t use a rollback truck. Our truck stays in the street, and your container is set down gently on rubber pads and rolled into place, which minimizes wear on your driveway and lets us fit into tighter spots. If you place a container on grass for an extended period, it can kill the grass underneath, so a driveway or gravel pad is usually best.
Do I need HOA approval for a storage container in Shallotte?
If your neighborhood has an HOA or property owners’ association, check its rules on temporary storage containers before your delivery date. Most customers place the container on their own driveway.
Can I keep the container at my home, or do you store it?
Either. Keep it on your property while you pack, renovate or declutter, or we’ll bring it back to our Wilmington facility, which is fenced, lit and monitored by cameras. Every container is built for coastal North Carolina weather, with an anti-condensation coated roof, full weather stripping and gaskets, and vents that help prevent humidity buildup.
How much does a portable storage container cost in Shallotte?
Your price depends on the container size, how long you need it, and your address. All of our current pricing is available up front in our online booking app. We don’t use teaser rates: your rate stays the same for the life of your rental, with no hidden fees.
What if my moving dates change?
Plans change, and we’re flexible about rescheduling delivery and pickup. When you call, you’ll reach our office team right away, not a national call center.

What Are Customers Saying?
Professional, courteous, accommodating and communicative. We were finally able to move ahead with Florence repairs and needed to store the excess ahead of construction. I had my Badger box delivered within 48 hours to suit my schedule and updates throughout the whole process. (I’ve moved across country using the original box storage guys, so had an idea what to expect,) but was super pleased with my overall experience here and the fantastic value for money. I instantly referred them to friends who were moving and they were equally impressed! Support local and support these guys, you won’t be disappointed:)
